The Zillow Zeitgeist: Why Adaptable Housing is the New "Dream Home"

How much time do you spend on a weekly basis scrolling through Zillow? If you are like most of us here at NEVO, it’s a fair amount—and that’s okay. We run the numbers in our heads, calculating the initial startup costs to develop vacant land in a neighborhood that is on the rise.

According to Zillow’s Zeitgeist report, there is a different kind of trend on the rise. No, I’m not talking about butcher block countertops or the latest LED lighting systems. I’m talking about housing that works for the entire family and builds stronger communities from within. After all, that is what our 12 Steps To Town Making is all about!

“The market is offering cities a clear compass: people want homes that can adapt, absorb change, and support multiple chapters of life.” — Edward Erfurt, Strong Towns
